EP #05 - Halloween Horror, ‘Smile’, & Pick-A-Villain

EP #05 - Halloween Horror, ‘Smile’, & Pick-A-Villain

HAPPY HALLOWEEN and welcome back to another episode of FILM FRAT PODCAST!

A new episode, a new setting, a new addition to the line-up of boys, AND a new set of thrilling topics.

After the numerous amounts of talk and hype, the man himself, Jonah Alonzo, makes an appearance and takes his rightful spot as the third host. Jonah has been busy in Bullhead City, working as a videographer for the incredibly successful entrepreneurs, Mike and Bo.

What’s a Halloween season without the costumes? The boys come dialed in and ready to showcase their new identities. Boston’s very own Tom Brady, Paco from ‘Blood In Blood Out', and Rick from ‘The Mummy’ gather around the stage to discuss only the most important topics.

What’s the best Halloween candy? Maybe one of the most debated topics during this season, the hosts share some of their favorite treats. Trick or treating took patience and skill, and at the end of the night, you would be able to go into your infinite stock of candy and trade with your best buds. Some candies were amazing (Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups) and some were better off in the trash (Hot Tamales)...

The day after Halloween, November 1st, marks the beginning of one of the most important decision processes, asking the question “who am I gonna dress up as for Halloween next year?”. The boys have a heart to heart and share some of the best outfits that they have thrown together.

The leaves begin to fall, the wind becomes stronger, the air becomes cooler, and the movies become spookier. One of the best traditions during Spooktober is to throw on some scary movies throughout the month. Movies such as ‘Halloween’ and ‘Scream’ are classics and must-watch material. A huge shout out to the horror video game genre, games such as Resident Evil are great at setting the tone for the season.

A smile might be contagious, but so is a creepy horror film experience. ‘Smile’ is an interesting story that leaves you unsettled and curious by the end of the movie. The message of the film, which is straightforward yet powerful, seems to be left open for interpretation. Just like the experience in theaters, the promotional tactics used throughout MLB games were incredibly bone-chilling.

Horror films might be scary, but nothing compares to spooky and unexplainable personal stories. The boys gather around to recount some of the most disturbing occurrences that they have personally experienced.

If you had to pick one of the many iconic horror film villains to protect you, who would you pick? The hosts come together to compile a list of killers that can serve as personal bodyguards and discuss head-to-head matchups.
